Boutwells Claim Two at Sugar Hill Speedway
Weare, NH – This past Sunday there was a double celebration in victory lane for the Boutwell family. Ashley Boutwell returned to the winner’s circle in the Tiger Sprint ‘C’ division. Jake Fitzgerald turned the fast lap of the feature race, but came up just shy in second place. Mitchell Hoar rounded out the top three in his first appearance at Sugar Hill in 2008. Ashley’s brother, Dylan, made it two-for-two on the day for the Boutwell family when he captured the win in the Tiger Sprint ‘B’ division.

There are a number of drivers that continued their win streaks on Saturday. Austin Brehio won for the second week in a row in the Jr. Sportsman Champ division. Brittney Burrant captured another win in the Eurasian Autoworks Jr. Champ division. Nicoal Perreault turned in her best finish and lap time of the year finishing second in the class.

Nate Parkhurst looked like he was on his way to spoil the streak that Dylan Payea has in the Box Stock Heavy division. The white flag waived for Parkhurst, but before the entire field could take the white, Matt Chagnot spun off turn four bringing out the caution. On the restart the crowd was treated to some old-fashion hard-nosed racing to the checkers as the field was three wide coming to the checkers with Payea just edging out Parkhurst and Eric Williams.

Chris Kenyon’s streak continues with another win in the Sr. Outlaw division. John Kenyon treated the crowd to an onboard play-by-play over the PA system. With his wireless mic attached, he was able to verbalize the racing experience at Sugar Hill Speedway.

Josh Annis won two features on Sunday. Annis never wins by much, but he always seems to be leading the pack when the checkers fly. His wins in the Jr. Outlaw ‘A’ division and in the Tiger Sprint ‘A’ division continue to put him on a path to twin championships.

Douglas Lazelle is unstoppable in the Jr. Outlaw ‘B’ division. He claimed another win on Sunday and was followed by Stephen Makela who turned in his best finish of the year. Parker Mullins Jr. rounded out the top three.

Racing action resumes next Sunday, July 20th. For more information about the Weekly Racing Series at Sugar Hill Speedway, log on to www.sugarhillspeedway.com or call 603-529-2479.
